About Tanglewood Learning Center
Tanglewood Learning Center is a family-run preschool in the New Port Richey/Trinity area, where we care for kids from 6 weeks to 9 years old. We’re all about creating a safe, loving space where children can explore, learn, and grow during these key early years. Our goal is simple: provide top-notch childcare and education while making sure kids have a blast along the way.
At Tanglewood, we use a creative curriculum that gives teachers a fun theme to build on, sparking excitement for kids of all ages. We blend art, music, physical activities, hands-on learning, and outdoor play to make every day an adventure.

Purpose:
Provide leadership and direction in the classroom, ensuring the safety, well-being, and educational development of children.
Key Responsibilities:
🦉Plan, implement, and oversee daily educational activities and curriculum that stimulate children’s intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.
🦉Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
🦉Maintain detailed records of children's progress, behavior, and development, and communicate regularly with parents through updates and formal parent-teacher conferences.
🦉Mentor and support assistant teachers and aides, fostering a collaborative and supportive team atmosphere.
🦉Participate in and contribute to staff meetings, professional development sessions, and workshops to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
🦉Observe, evaluate, and continuously improve classroom programs, adapting to meet the needs of all children.
🦉Facilitate positive social interactions among children, encouraging a sense of community and respect within the classroom.
Requirements:
✅Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
✅Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education, preferably in a lead teaching role.
✅Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate children.
✅Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports the developmental needs of young children.
✅Must pass comprehensive background checks and health screenings, including a physical and TB test.
✅Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a passion for early childhood education.
Purpose:
Support the Lead Teacher in providing a high-quality educational experience for children, ensuring their safety and developmental growth.
Key Responsibilities:
🦉Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and curriculum that promote children's learning and development.
🦉Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
🦉Help maintain detailed records of children's progress, behavior, and development, and communicate with parents as needed.
🦉Participate in parent-teacher conferences and meetings, providing insights and support as necessary.
🦉Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
🦉Provide individual attention and support to children as directed by the Lead Teacher, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
🦉Encourage positive behavior and social interactions among children, helping to create a respectful and inclusive classroom community.
Requirements:
✅High school diploma or GED; CDA or related credential preferred.
✅Previous experience in early childhood education is a plus, but not required.
✅Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine love for working with young children.
✅Ability to work effectively as part of a team, taking direction and initiative as needed.
✅Must pass comprehensive background checks and health screenings, including a physical and TB test.
✅Demonstrated flexibility, patience, and creativity in the classroom.
